· “Batch Manufacturing Without Customization: Using Standard Kinetic Functionality” – Bruce Larson, Larson Solutions.
v This presentation explains a practical approach to batching manufacturing operations—such as laser cutting, painting, heat treating, and plating—using only standard functionality in Kinetic and without any special modules. The method rethinks what is actually being produced during these processes. Instead of focusing on individual finished parts, operations are treated as producing measurable units such as square feet of processed sheet stock or square inches of painted surface. By creating intermediary manufactured parts that represent these processed units, multiple job demands can be linked into a single batch job. This allows operations like laser cutting or finishing to be grouped and processed together while automatically allocating the produced material back to the individual jobs that require it. The presentation walks through the setup, job creation, demand linking, and production flow, demonstrating how manufacturers can simplify batch processing, improve scheduling visibility, and maintain accurate costing and traceability within Kinetic.
· Round Table Discussions
