SSRS report writing

Does anyone know a local (we are in Seattle) independent contractor who writes custom reports in SSRS?  We are upgrading from 9.05 to Epicor 10 and want to have our custom reports re-written from Crystal to SSRS.  Any recommendations would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi Teri,

You could get in touch with Peter Grant (peter.c.grant@gmail.com).

We used to work together at an Epicor partner a few years ago.

I believe he's got lots of SSRS report authoring experience.

And if you wanted to extend that to someone outside of the Seattle area,
like Portland, I could help you out.

    Thanks,

    Justin

Thanks for the recommendation.  I really appreciate it!

    Justin,

Peter didn't think he was a good fit.  If we were to branch out to Portland, could you send me a resume and what you charge (I assume by the hour)?

    Thanks for your help!

I am looking to change the fiscal calendars in Epicor because we are changing when we have year end and when we have month end.

We are going from 12 month calendar Jan to Dec with Month end on the days it shows on everyones calendar to 4 by 4 by 5 week month end increments.

Does anyone have experience updating the calendars before year end?

    Thanks

    Hi Jason,

We do that in Fiscal Calendar Maintenance under General Ledger / Setup.

Our Fiscal Year is from Oct 1 to Sept 30, so we set up the 12 Fiscal Periods appropriately using the Start Date and End Dates. You can probably do the same thing with your 4x4x5 scenario.

    Hope this helps.

Unfortunately Epicor 9 has a different setup than 7. I wouldn't know my way around it.

    Sorry about that

We've gone through that. We created a series of short fiscal periods in order to get the calendar in sync with the new closing date. Other than a couple of custom reports, we really had no issues at all. We tested the process on a test system, saw that everything worked as expected, and then we performed the change. We did this on Vantage 8.

    Hi Teri,

Of course! I'd be glad to help. Can you give me a general time line and
high level overview of the reports you're looking for?

    My contracting rate is 105/hr.

    I'll forward my resume tomorrow.

    Thanks,

    Justin
