General Guidelines

Make sure your postings are relevant.

This forum is provided to allow our users and members to help each other in using Epicor products and services. Please stay on topic — refrain from discussing personal matters, abusing any company or product, or, in general, from posting content that is not related to Epicor Software products and services.

Be courteous.

We want everyone to have a positive experience while participating in our forum. It is your responsibility to make sure that you are not detracting from any other user’s experience. Accordingly, do not post anything that is unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, indecent, lewd, harassing, threatening, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory or otherwise disrespectful, objectionable, or injurious to others. We welcome your opinions, but personal attacks and harassment using our forum or through private messaging are not acceptable.

No spam.

Our forum is provided as a service to our users and members and is not intended for the promotion of third party services, products, websites, or organizations. Please do not post advertisements, junk mail, spam, chain letters, charity requests, petitions for signatures or any other form of solicitation. Further, flooding the forum through the use of excessive posting, padding/bumping posts, overly large font size, or cross posting to other forums or websites is not permitted.

Comply with the law.

It is your responsibility to comply with applicable law. Our forum may not be used in connection with any criminal or civil violations of state, federal or international laws, regulations or other government requirements. Accordingly, you cannot post any material that (a) infringes on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other rights of any party; (b) is fraudulent; (c) contains software viruses or any other computer code or files that are designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the functioning of any software or hardware; or (d) is illegal under local, state, federal, or international law, rule or regulation.

Use common sense.

If you follow any advice that you read on our forum, you do so at your own risk. You alone are responsible for deciding whether or not to follow such advice. If in doubt, do not try it.

Don’t disclose personal information.

Please do not post personal information on our forums including your name and address, age, or phone number. If any user asks you for personal information, such as an account number, address, password or credit card number, do not provide it.

Oversight.

The Epicor Users Group retains the right to remove any posts or information it deems inconsistent with these guidelines.
